Sky high with hydrogen
Hydrogenics GmbH from Gladbeck develops fuel cells for hydrogen aircraft HY4.
The official presentation of the joint research project HY4 took place on 12 October 2015 during the international trade fair World-of-Energy-Solutions in Stuttgart, Germany. Funded by the national organisation for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, the venture aims to advance low noise and zero-emission air traffic. For this the German Aerospace Center and associate partners are working on the world's first zero-emission passenger aircraft powered by hydrogen and fuel cells. The range of the prop airliner with four seats is estimated at up to 1,500 kilometres. Hydrogenics GmbH from Gladbeck, a member of our network, develops and provides fuel cells for HY4. We are hoping for great success with this project.
